On July 17, 1918, Russian Emperor Nicholas II and members of his family and household were cruelly executed at the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
This murderous act was intended to destroy any and every trace of the Romanov Royal Family – the Emperor, his wife, and their five children were all killed.
Despite the treacherous intentions of the executioners, the blood of the royals flows as mightily today as it did then. Natalie can trace her lineage and pedigree back to the House of Romanov.
Natalie (nicknamed “Tata” by her Russian friends and family members) speaks fluent Russian – and she is learning and experiencing Russian culture, cuisine and tradition.
Natalie bears an uncanny resemblance to Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna of Russia, the third daughter of Russian Emperor Nicholas II. The Grand Duchess is Natalie’s patron saint.
